Sun Chemical to Display Full Range of Color Solutions for Food and Nutrition Market at Food Ingredients Europe 2023
PARSIPPANY, N.J., U.S.A. – October 30, 2023 – Sun Chemical’s Food and Nutrition Group will showcase its full lineup of natural colorants for a variety of food and beverage products during Food Ingredients Europe 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany on November 28-30.
Visitors of stand #3.1K80 will learn about the recently launched SUNFOODSTM Natural Colorants product line which was developed in response to the ever-increasing demand for naturally derived colorants in the marketplace. Sun Chemical’s “Inspired by nature” campaign presents natural colors extracted from algae, vegetables and fruit, and formulated with its proprietary technology. The portfolio has expanded to include SUNFOODS™ Iron Oxides, which features a rainbow of natural color solutions high in purity, performance and color stability.
Also on display will be Sun Chemical’s Spirulina, a blue-green algae that is an ideal supplement for a balanced diet and an increasingly popular functional food ingredient. Sustainably cultivated and manufactured in California for more than 50 years by Sun Chemical, Earthrise and DIC Corporation, spirulina can provide exceptional balanced nutrition and supports one’s immune system*.
Sun Chemical’s LINABLUE® Spirulina Extract line of products offers both liquid and powder form and a wide range of color values. DIC invented the spirulina extraction process 35 years ago and Sun Chemical is now a global leader in supplying LINABLUE Spirulina Extract to the food industry. Earthrise LINABLUE is Kosher and Halal certified, free of toxic microcystin, and manufactured with FSSC22000 certification.
Developed to meet the specific needs of the food industry and verified for printing directly onto food, Sun Chemical’s range of edible inks were created to offer outstanding color and sharpness, while also complying with the highest levels of quality and safety regulations. Whether looking to personalize cookies, fondant sheets, chips or even finished cakes, these compliant digital inks allow for the print-on-demand solutions that today’s consumers demand. The technology is also suitable for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets, such as printing on pills and capsules.
“Our customers are looking for naturally derived colors for the foods they manufacture, and Sun Chemical has many options to help them accomplish those objectives,” said Sophia Jin, Business Manager Americas and EMEA, Food and Nutrition, Sun Chemical. “Additionally, Sun Chemical offers more than just food colorants, we can be an integrated solutions provider.
