Sun Chemical Launches Six SunPURO® Natural Products for Beauty
PARSIPPANY, N.J., U.S.A. – November 15, 2022 – Sun Chemical has expanded its vast color portfolio to include six new plant-derived natural colorants and functional ingredients into its well-known SunPURO® line.
By entering the natural colorants space for beauty, Sun Chemical provides more sustainable solutions for customers who want to make natural claims in cosmetics and personal care formulas. The new SunPURO® Naturals products meet the beauty industry’s need for conscious color and purposeful products. They are all responsibly sourced and COSMOS certifiable products.
The natural colorants include two bright, orange-red SunPURO® Natural Annatto products globally approved for color cosmetics and personal care and two SunPURO® Natural Chlorophyll green colorants globally approved for use in oral care.
The plant-derived functional ingredients, SunPURO® Natural Vegetable Black and SunPURO® Natural Coconut, support natural claims in cosmetics and personal care formulas. SunPURO® Natural Vegetable Black offers non-nano detoxifying properties made from 100% upcycled coconut shell waste and SunPURO® Natural Coconut provides milky, plant-derived opacifying benefits for use in aqueous personal care formulations.
“We’re excited to offer these six new natural colorants and functional ingredients to our customers,” said Bart Vanderbiest, Global Director Cosmetics, Color Materials at Sun Chemical. “As the beauty industry has shifted toward more natural trends, we’re constantly striving to bring more sustainable solutions to the market. We look forward to growing our SunPURO® Naturals line to support our customers with a comprehensive color portfolio for the global beauty industry.”
