DIC’s polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) portfolio is optimized for automotive applications and features outstanding heat and chemical resistance. DIC’s PPS series contains a wide variety of engineering compounds formulated with both glass fiber and/or mineral filler to meet desired characteristics for components in automotive ignition, fuel, drive, control and cooling systems. Available elastomer modified grades offer outstanding heat shock resistance and enhanced impact properties.
DIC’s industry-leading PPS portfolio is optimized for electronic applications and features outstanding heat and chemical resistance. Our PPS portfolio contains a wide variety of engineering compounds formulated with both glass fiber and/or mineral filler to meet a variety of desired characteristics for principal electronic components, general electronic components and home electronics.
We have recently expanded our portfolio to include a glass-reinforced PPS engineered to meet stringent regulatory standards for both food contact and potable water applications. This versatile new product offers a unique combination of properties, making it a valuable addition to DIC’s extensively developed PPS range.
We have a range of solutions suitable for automotive e-power trains, such as e-engines, power electronics, lithium-ion battery cells for hybrid and electric cars, and pipe extrusion for thermal management of electrical engines.
Sun Chemical’s injection molding grade for bus bar applications for hybrid and electric cars offers high flowability, temperature and heat shock resistance, high dielectric strength and very low dimensional tolerances.
DIC is a recognized leader in developing customized PPS products designed to replace metals and thermosetting polymers in vehicle power train, coolant system and electrical/electronic components. Recent years have been devoted to partnering with customers to develop products which have reduced component weight, system complexity and packaging requirements.
