Sun Chemical to Highlight Leading Printing Solutions at PRINTING United Expo 2024

PARSIPPANY, N.J., U.S.A. – August 5, 2024 – Sun Chemical will showcase its comprehensive portfolio for wide format print applications at this year’s PRINTING United Expo (September 10-12) in Las Vegas, Nev.

Embracing the theme ‘Experience. Transformation,’ Sun Chemical will present pioneering digital solutions designed to elevate business innovation across the industry. Direct-to-Film Innovations

Key among the products on display will be Xennia Jade, Sun Chemical’s groundbreaking pigment ink solution optimized for the direct-to-film (DTF) market. Tailored to meet rising demands while overcoming traditional challenges, Xennia Jade assures superior quality, stability and reliability, paving the way for a seamless production environment.

Advancements in Wide Format Printing

Sun Chemical will also shine the spotlight on its Streamline series, an ensemble of inkjet inks developed for wide format printers, featuring low-odor chemistry and boasting GREENGUARD Gold certification. Complementing this range are the Streamline TVL 2 and TEL2 ink series, available in 500ml pouches and engineered to support eco-solvent inkjet printers, notably Roland’s TrueVis SG2 and VG2, with new orange and green inks enhancing the color palette.

Expanding Capabilities in Super Wide Format Printing

To cater to the industrial 3.2m-solvent inkjet presses market, Sun Chemical will present tailored Streamline ink solutions compatible with an array of printheads, including Konica Minolta, Spectra Starfire and Epson i3200, with the Streamline SGR series for Ricoh Gen 5 printheads marking the latest innovation.

Aqueous Inks for Digital Printing

Sun Chemical’s commitment extends to super wide format printing with the Streamline aqueous ink technology. The Streamline APY and Streamline APR series, tailored for Kyocera and Ricoh Gen 5 printheads respectively, exemplify high-color strength, efficient drying and significant ink consumption reduction.

Solutions for Digital Textile Printing

Sun Chemical will also introduce a variety of digital inks for textile decoration, encompassing sign and display, sportswear, fashion and home textiles with inks suitable for a full range of digital printer and printhead models. Highlights include the market-leading sublimation inks ElvaJet Opal SB and ElvaJet Topaz SC, alongside new pigment solution Xennia Sapphire, which provides exceptional color and application performance.

Degassing Modules for Digital Presses

The showcase will feature SEPAREL® for inkjet applications, a significant advancement in degassing technology developed by DIC Corporation. These modules facilitate optimal ink performance by ensuring minimal pressure loss and compact size.

Additional Innovative Solutions

Sun Chemical will display an array of additional printing solutions including edible inks for direct food printing which enable customization and enhanced consumer experience. SunJet, the global inkjet brand of Sun Chemical and DIC, will exhibit its latest inkjet chemistry advancements.

Compatible with a range of applications, SunTronic® ECLIPSE technologies offer customized solutions for conductive inks, resists, dielectrics and insulators that are compatible with a range of applications.

Sun Chemical’s SunEvo digital coatings, ranging from specific primers for a variety of substrates and printing applications to overprint varnishes, adhesion promoters and lamination adhesives, are all optimized for use in combination with digital inks.
