DRUPA LAUNCH-PAD FOR SUN CHEMICAL CONSULTING AND STRATEGIC INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY - 29 May 2008 - At drupa 2008, Sun Chemical has announced the launch of a new consulting division. This involves international strategic partnerships with other global companies to create better workplace practices for customers.

The consulting business offers a comprehensive range of services and solutions to help customers to make the most cost-effective use of existing equipment, improving dramatically overall quality and efficiency, as well as reducing downtime.

Sun Chemical’s partnership offering also covers increasingly complex compliance requirements for many differing worldwide regulations. These will include health and safety, environment and the ‘green pro-active’ approach, including carbon management.

The new service follows extensive market research undertaken by Sun Chemical, a PrintCity alliance member, which believes that ‘day-to-day’ customer partnerships, coupled with its own internal management and technical programme experience, are pivotal in applying relevant systems and procedures to all customers.

Michel Vanhems, Sun Chemical’s business manager for consulting, said: “We are committed to improving the service we provide through quality, innovation and service. Already, we know that customers have made significant savings through using our best practice offering across a range of unique solutions. These include carbon management, environment and legal compliance issues, as well as reducing waste and downtime to improve productivity. Identifying ways of helping customers is essential for business success, particularly in the printing industry, which is facing increasing global challenges.”

Sun Chemical’s new strategic partners for the consulting business have all been long-standing industry suppliers. They provide specialist expertise for areas such as environmental and health and safety, software and internal management improvement tools for companies.
