SunJet® Shows InkJet Technology in China at Shanghai International Advertising Show
Shanghai PRC
- July 11, 2007 -- SunJet, the inkjet ink division of Sun Chemical, announced its presence in China with is first full scale expo booth at the Shanghai Advertising and Media Show in Shanghai.
SunJet, which has operated for many years in China, accelerated its activity in the region during the first half of 2007 by creating a Shanghai-based sales and business development manager position. Katie Zhou, an industry veteran with several years experience in wide format inkjet printing with international organisations, was named to this role in March 2007 and has started developing existing relationships with major original equipment manufacturers (OEM), designers and builders.
Peter Saunders, SunJet sales & marketing manager, said: "Our experience in China is common with many other industries, to do business and build relationships, it is essential to have staff based locally to provide support and to aid communication of customer requirements back to the SunJet research and development team in the UK. We are fortunate to have someone of the calibre of Katie Zhou, who understands the inkjet business in China. She is already proving herself in the way she has started building business and establishing SunJet in Shanghai."
SunJet is based in the Shanghai offices of parent company Dainippon Ink and Chemicals (DIC), which further demonstrates a coordinated approach to the inkjet market between Sun Chemical and DIC.
The Shanghai Advertising and Materials show, held annually in July, is the foremost exhibition for the fast growing digital printing market in China and attracts visitors from around the world. It also features the debut of new hardware, evidenced by many new printer launches in 2006 and 2007.
"It is essential for SunJet to present its primary brands Crystal®, JetStream®, PerSonaTM and AquaJet® at this show to demonstrate its long term commitment to the Chinese markets," Zhou said. "I am looking forward to supporting our customers in the wide format, coding, marking and new industrial markets as the digital equipment business develops in China in line with the growth of the local economy."
