POS Hauptmannl Finds Increased Stability with Sun Chemical Streamline™ Inks

Berlin, Germany - June 06, 2007 -- POS Hauptmannl, a large-format digital printer, has today revealed at FESPA 2007 how Sun Chemical Screen's Streamline™ digital inks have produced a more cost-effective and reliable service to its business.

Hartmut Hauptmannl, managing director of the printer based in Fürth, Bavaria, has claimed up to 40 percent ink cost savings since transferring to the Streamline 0219 solvent inks for his Vutek superwide printers. This is based on the combined effect of lower consumption and reduced prices.

Sun Chemical Screen began supplying POS Hauptmannl almost three years ago, and the superior reliability of the inks is evident through increased productivity; saving production time and resulting in trouble-free job handling. Streamline inks have also accelerated the production process by eliminating the time-consuming process of cleaning clogged print heads and allowing longer intervals between routine maintenance sessions.

An additional key benefit to POS Hauptmannl is a reduction in ink consumption, which is being achieved through improved stability, improved UV resistance and advanced dense pigmentation.

Mr Hauptmannl said: "In the past we had technical issues, service delivery delays and a lack of support from the supplier of our inks for the Vutek presses. Since changing over to the Streamline 0219 speciality inks supplied by Sun Chemical Screen, we have been able to eliminate all of these problems. The production process has become continuously stable, trouble-free and really smooth. There have also been many benefits in the areas of stability, pigmentation and less ink consumption. For example, we are now using approximately 10 per cent less ink than we previously used for the same jobs. This, combined with savings on the cost of inks, not only delivers up to 40 percent reduction on consumables, but also provides better quality output for my customers."

He added: "Sun Chemical Screen provides an excellent service and a prompt supply of ink all the time. Our customers continue to be delighted at the quality of the work ensured by the distinguished properties of Streamline digital inks."

Trevor Pratt, Sun Chemical Screen's business and marketing director, said: "Comments from customers such as POS Hauptmannl speak volumes. We know from our own audits and other feedback that our clients are getting excellent value. This is achieved through the benefits of a complete package with quality inks covering most popular presses, engineering support and spare parts from a single source."
