US Ink to Introduce New Spectra® LS System at NEXPO ‘07 A New Premium Low Set Off Ink System
Carlstadt, NJ
- April 18, 2007 -- US Ink will launch the Spectra LS System, an expansion of its Spectra portfolio specifically designed to further reduce page-to-page set off, at NEXPO ’07.
“The solution to the multi-variable problem of set off was challenging because there is no single consumable that, by itself, significantly reduces this print quality issue,” said Larry Lepore, US Ink VP of Operations. “The Spectra LS System represents the next generation in low set off technology and was achieved through the identification and optimization of key raw materials, fountain solution, and prepress / press conditions.”
According to Mike Dodd, US Ink’s VP of National Accounts, “the Spectra LS System is ideal for printers that need to further reduce page-to-page set off, pipe roller, angle bar and former board build-up. Newspapers have made a huge investment in print. To help maximize the return on that investment, US Ink will continue to develop break-through technology that helps attract advertisers and readers to newspapers.”
Information on the new Spectra LS System will be available at NEXPO ’07 by visiting the US Ink booth (#2231).
