Sun Chemical Creates European Consumables Group

- February 14, 2007 -- Sun Chemical has created a single business division to manage the sourcing, sales, marketing and distribution of print-associated consumables products across Europe.
The Consumables Division has been formed to serve the growing market trend of consolidated purchasing. It gives Sun Chemical a structure to provide a wide range of products from a single source at a competitive price.
Consumables products purchased from Sun Chemical will be fully supported by its sales and technical service teams, and customers will also benefit from the company's extensive supply and distribution network to ensure quick and easy access to products.
Pawel Prokesz, general manager of the European Consumables Division, said: "We have taken every effort to ensure that various pressroom consumables supplied are fully compatible with each other and that together they optimise press performance."

Sun Chemical Europe has a strong offset consumables portfolio and is now further developing its offering to the flexible and gravure markets. Products available include press blankets, fount solutions, rollers, splicing tapes, washes, solvents, speciality chemicals, personal protective equipment, silicone solutions, stitching wire, strapping, pressroom equipment and sundry items. New products currently in the pipeline include UV lamps, doctor blades, flexo mounting tape and adhesives (glues), in addition to a complete new range of spill protection equipment. .
On-site training and advice is also available to provide best practices regarding safe handling, storage and use of the products.
